QUAD is an international centre for engagement in contemporary art and film, based in Derby. QUAD is a registered charity and all profits from commercial activities, including tickets and café bar sales, are re-invested in QUAD's work. It is a charity focused on intercultural dialogue through supporting diverse audiences to engage, develop skills and contribute to contemporary culture. Summer Outdoor Theatre & Cinema Season returns for 2022

 

The ever-popular Outdoor Theatre and Cinema season will be returning to the picturesque surroundings of Markeaton Park in July 2022.

 

Derby LIVE and Derby Parks will be bringing audiences a double bill of Shakespeare from Oddsocks Theatre and Derby Shakespeare Company, two great interactive performances perfect for children with Babbling Vagabonds and Pop Up Theatre, and showings of award-winning films.

Artist and printmaker Joanna Allen from New Mills, who won Buxton Fringe’s design competition for the 2018 programme cover, has found herself celebrating again having scooped first prize in the festival’s latest cover art contest.

Derby Ram Trail report shows culture fundamental to city recovery

A new report on the Derby Ram Trail has been published by Derby Museums this week, detailing the project’s positive impact on the city’s recovery following lockdown. 

Launched in May 2021, in the same month as the new Museum of Making, the Derby Ram Trail was delivered by Derby Museums in partnership with Wild in Art, presenting partner Derby’s Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District (BID) and trail partner St Peters Quarter BID as the city emerged from the final Covid lockdown.
