New chef appointed at Croots Farm Shop in Derbyshire

A new chef has been appointed at popular Derbyshire farm shop Croots.

Kelvin Guest, who as head chef has worked at establishments that have been listed in The Good Food Guide and the Michelin Guide, has recently joined the team at the farm shop in Wirksworth Road, near Duffield.

Using some of the best local ingredients and produce, Kelvin hopes to boost the culinary reputation of the award-winning farm shop.

Exciting Producer opportunity at Hubbub

We’re looking to recruit a producer to support our next Arts Council funded project The Drum. We would like to work with an ambitious producer who will bring their own strategic ideas to Hubbub with the hope that we can grow the position into a senior role within the company. Hubbub is at a very exciting point of development, thanks to Elevate funding which has had a hugely positive impact on the company.

Derby College Rag Week Total Announced

Students and staff at Derby College Group’s Joseph Wright Centre post-16 Academic and Arts college have raised £1,122 for three charities at their annual RAG week.

A wide range of competitions and activities were organised by students using entrepreneurship skills throughout the week including an animal cuddle station, crystal maze challenge and fairground games.

COALFIELDS COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROGRAMME - initial deadline 30 August

The Coalfields Community Investment Programme (England) is a £500,000 fund created to support activities that tackle some of the key challenges that still remain in coalfield communities. The fund is open to projects that deliver in the top 30% most deprived coalfield communities and that will make a positive difference in addressing: Skills, Employment, Health and Wellbeing.

The Eligibility survey is now open and closes at 5pm on 30th August 2019. The deadline for applications is 13th September 2019 at 5pm.

Family Arts Workshop with Junction Arts

Junction Arts are hosting a day of family arts workshops on the 7th August. This workshop is designed for adults and children to take part in together; make a beautiful decoupage lantern with expert guidance and support arts and culture in Chesterfield.

No experience needed, all equipment provided and refreshments and snacks supplied!

Tickets for adults are £10 and children £5, all money goes towards Junction Arts’ mission of bringing high quality arts and culture to everyone.

High Peak Community Arts Freelance Archivist (self-employed)

High Peak Community Arts is celebrating its fortieth anniversary in 2019 with its Forty Years On project, and we’re looking for a freelance archivist to lead on organising and cataloguing our exciting archive of art, music and drama projects.
