You will need to make sure that your idea makes business sense, has a good chance of success and that users will like your great idea for a product or service. A minimum of 10% of cash match towards total project costs.

Derby College Students Design Seasonal Video Game

Games Development students at Derby College have designed a high quality video game as part of a project to give them real-life industry experience.

The students are based at the Joseph Wright Centre – the post-16 Academic and Arts college – and designed ‘Drive By Santa’ in just seven weeks.

Television Lifetime Achievement Award for Pollyanna Pickering

The late wildlife artist Pollyanna Pickering has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Create and Craft TV.

The award recognises her excellence in wildlife art and her passion for conservation as well as the contribution she made to the channel during six years of regular guest appearances.

Celebrate the beauty of leaves

Our first solo exhibition by Mark Langley, 'In the Shade of Leaf', is a new collection of landscape paintings that take Mark's work forward in an exciting new direction. The collection demonstrates a variety of experimental styles of working in paint. The exhibition focusses on depicting native trees in local settings, and experiments with lighting, from soft summer evening sun to the contrast of sunshine and shadow.  
 

Croots Farm Shop wins national accolade for Ecclesbourne Sausage

A sausage designed by Derbyshire farm shop Croots in conjunction with students at a local school has been highly commended in a national magazine award.

The Croots Ecclesbourne Sausage was created by butchers at Croots Farm Shop in Duffield and students at Ecclesbourne School as part of their food tech studies.

Now it has been highly commended in the Great British Food Awards 2018 run by national magazine Great British Food.
